Editorial policy

Our standard

A page earns its place only if it gives readers real numbers from a primary source, explains what they mean, and helps them act on them. We do not publish pages that repeat what already exists without adding data.

How pages are made

  1. Data is pulled from public agencies and validated automatically.
  2. Software, including AI writing tools, drafts the text from that data. Numbers are inserted from the data, not typed by hand.
  3. Automated checks compare every figure with the source data and recalculate the headline numbers independently.
  4. A quality review checks completeness, uniqueness and this policy.
  5. Otto Pop reviews samples of every day's pages and approves any new topic before we cover it.
